Rosie | “Two Broke Girls” filming. Angus | The sincere service everywhere. McKay | Watching silly Americans and the things they do. O’Regan | The diversity of the food.
They also delivered to the table and checked that everything was alright (live two or three times during our meal). It was but enough already. We went to another mall and while we looked through a few shops Rosie and O’Regan indulged one of those automated chair massages. Very refreshing.

The Tour was first up on the trams. Interesting that after all this time they are still doing the Peter Jackson King Kong Vs Tyrannosaurus on the tour. Of the features it really stands up to the test of time.

The laundry was happening and Rosie and McKay took the opportunity to have a look at the shops there and got a few things. The laundry was busy with the usual personalities.

The first ride was the Revolution which was the first roller coaster to have a loop. By today’s standard it was okay but we know there are some more amazing ones here.

At the top there’s a National Park Centre, shop and restaurant as well as some amazing views back into the San Bernardino Forest and down into Palm Springs. We got drinks and enjoyed the scenery. There was another viewing area that was accessed by metal stairs which was even more impressive.

Time to use our fast pass and we pass the long queue of people waiting and get all the way up to being next to board and the ride is shut down indefinitely. Bugger! Oh well it's over to the Disney side.

We headed back to Long Beach and Polly’s Pies for dinner with their cherry pie deserts. While we were there Rosie realised the people in the booth behind us were cracking up at our inappropriate and odd accented conversation. Always good to entertain.

They gave out prizes for various things like tee shirts and cupcakes - Rosie was very excited she got a cupcake for enthusiastic audience participation. We have never clapped and laughed so much, what an absolutely fantastic opportunity and experience.
After a quick lunch at Carl’s Jr we packed up to get to Griffiths Observatory which overlooks LA. Its hazy today so who knows? Letting the GPS have its way we took up a quiet street lined with magnificent homes with fantastic views.

We drove across the dam into the town. With a collection of log cabins and palatial homes nestled around the lake. It’s definitely colder up here but the only snow was artificially made at some play parks that offer tubing.

Wow, what a menu. There is a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu and they serve all three all the time. Our server (doesn’t seem to be waiter, too formal maybe) to Angus’ pleasure kept the coffee coming. She also kept O’Regan and McKay’s drinks full. Bottomless soft drink crazy.
We drove up to Santa Monica Pier as O'Regan wanted to see the Ferris Wheel (and yes today was all about O'Regan). Traffic was ridiculous being a long weekend (for Presidents Day on Monday) and valentines day.

The humour of the morning was Angus wearing his Star Wars tee shirt and the theme song being played at breakfast. One of the other guests came and complimented Angus on his choice of tee shirt.

With a few hours to kill before we could check in we took a drive through the suburbs of Long Beach which looked really picturesque. When it was time to check in we were greeted with a large room with two king beds and right by the pool, nice one. We were very happy.
